Joseph Maranowicz
Detective Commander

Detective Commander Joseph Maranowicz has been with the Addison Police Department since January 2000. He has an Associates degree in Criminal Justice from the College of DuPage. He has served as a patrolman and as a detective within the Criminal Investigations Section. He was promoted to the rank of Patrol Sergeant in June 2006. In May 2007, he was brought into the Criminal Investigations Section as a Detective Sergeant, and in January 2010, he was promoted to Detective Commander. Detective Commander Maranowicz is a Juvenile Officer, Evidence Technician, Gang Specialist and an Illinois Fire Certified Arson Investigator.

Detective Commander Maranowicz also received Exemplary Performance Awards, Merit Review Awards and employee of the month.
