Doug Olson
Sergeant

Sergeant Olson began his law enforcement career in 1990 after serving a four-year active duty service enlistment as a Security Police Officer in the United States Air Force. He has an Associates degree from the College of DuPage and a Bachelor's degree in Management from National Louis University. He also is a certified Crime Prevention Specialist and is trained in Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) principles from the University of Louisville.

While a Patrolman, Sergeant Olson was assigned to Patrol, the Crime Prevention Unit and Planning, Research and Development. He also has the following specialties: Juvenile Officer, Physical Fitness Instructor, I.P.M.B.A. Police Cyclist Officer, CALEA Manager, and D.A.R.E. Instructor.

He was promoted to Sergeant in 2007.

He currently is assigned as the supervisor of the Crime Prevention Unit. In addition, he supervises Bike Patrol, Foot Patrol, the Color/Honor Guard Unit and the Department's Physical Fitness Program.
