Michael Simo
Deputy Chief of Police, Support Services Division

Deputy Chief Simo has been with the Police Department since 1980. He had been assigned to the Patrol and Detective Divisions before being promoted to Sergeant in 1999. He has an Associates degree in Law Enforcement and a Bachelor of Science degree in Management. He attended the School of Police Staff and Command at the Northwestern University Center for Public Safety in 2000. As Sergeant, he supervised various Patrol shifts, the Traffic Unit, the Gang Tactical Unit, and oversaw fleet management. In 2005, he was promoted to Watch Commander. In 2006, he was promoted to Deputy Chief. In December of 2009, he graduated from the 239th Session of the FBI National Academy.
