Larry Stoll
Director of Records Management
Director Stoll began his career with the Village of Addison Police Department in May 1978. During his twenty years of service, he served as a Patrol Officer, School Liaison Officer at Addison Trail High School, Sergeant, Commander for the Support Services Division and Deputy Chief.
During his tenure as Deputy Chief, Director Stoll was instrumental in bringing the school-based resource center concept to the Village of Addison by assisting in the formation of the first school-based resource center in DuPage County. He serves on the Board of Directors for the Center as Vice Chairman. In his role as the first accreditation manager for the Department, he helped the Department achieve national accreditation status in 2000. Afterwards, he became a certified assessor for the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA) and has assessed numerous law enforcement agencies around the country that have applied for national accreditation status.
Director Stoll received his Bachelor’s degree in Education from Roosevelt University and is a graduate of Northwestern University’s School of Police Staff and Command. In 1998, he became a graduate of the 194th Session of the FBI National Academy, a prestigious training program for command personnel involved in the administration of police agencies. He received his Masters degree in Criminal/Social Justice in 2001 from Lewis University.
In June of 2006, Director Stoll retired from his sworn position as Deputy Chief and was hired back in a civilian capacity as Director of Records Management.
