Michael Tierney
Director of Records Management

Mike Tierney began with the Police Department in May 1982.  He grew up in Addison and graduated from both Addison Public School Districts.  He attained an Associates degree in Applied Sciences from the College of DuPage, a Bachelors degree in Management from National-Louis University and a Masters degree in Management at Benedictine University.  Mike was a graduate of Northwestern University’s School of Police Staff and Command in December 2008.

After 29 years of service with the Police Department as a Police Officer, Mike retired as Sergeant in June 2011 and became the civilian Director of Records. He looks forward to working with the Police Department’s management team and his Record’s Section staff to modernize the recordkeeping practices for the Addison Police Department.
