CITIZENS ON PATROL (COP)/CERT ASSOCIATION

The Addison Police COP/CERT Association consists of graduates of the Addison Citizens Police Academy or CERT programs.

National Citizens Police Academy Association
Promotes the professional development of information, instruction, guidance, and assistance to public safety agencies and citizens involved or interested in the Citizens Police Academy concept.

The Addison Police Citizens on Patrol (COP)/CERT Association Monthly Meeting
3rd Tuesday of each month

Monthly meetings include:

  1. Various training topics
  2. Training scenarios
  3. Guest speakers
  4. Social events

The Addison Police Department is committed to the philosophy of Community Oriented Policing and continues to develop and support partnerships with our residents.  The COP/CERT Association provides an opportunity for residents who have participated in our Citizens Police Academy or CERT class to continue their understanding and partnership with our Department.  It is also an opportunity for the Police Department to develop ideas and strategies for policing that meet the needs of the residents of our community.
