Sergeant Biles has been with the Addison Police Department since Larry Biles2008. He graduated from the University of Illinois with a Bachelor’s degree. While he was assigned to the Field Services Division, he worked as a Juvenile Officer and Evidence Technician.

In January 2013, Sergeant Biles was assigned to the Gang Tactical Unit, investigating violent crimes, gang crimes and narcotics offenses. During that time, he was involved in hundreds of narcotics and gang investigations and was a member of the Felony Investigative Assistance Team (FIAT). Sergeant Biles testified as a gang expert in the 18th Judicial Circuit Court, DuPage County, Illinois, and was a member of the DuPage A-TAC (DuPage Anti-Gang Tactical) Unit. In 2017, he was awarded Detective of the Year for the Addison Police Department.

In August 2019, Sergeant Biles was assigned as a School Resource Officer at District 88 Addison Trail High School. In January 2022, he was promoted to the rank of Sergeant within the Field Services Division and is currently an ALICE (Alert, Lockdown, Inform, Counter, Evacuate) instructor and supervises the Evidence Technicians and Major Crimes Forensics Unit.

Sergeant Biles has received numerous awards and commendations during his time with the Addison Police Department and while working in the Criminal Investigations Section.
