Commander Glomb has been with the Addison Police Department since 2007. Patrick GlombHe graduated from Joliet Junior College with an Associate's degree and also attended Illinois State University.

In 2012, Commander Glomb was assigned to the Criminal Investigations Section and was selected to join the DuPage Metropolitan Enforcement Group (DuMeg). During that time, he conducted hundreds of investigations related to street-level narcotics and undercover operations.

In 2015, Commander Glomb was assigned to the Gang Tactical Unit investigating violent crimes, gang crimes and narcotics offenses. During that period, Commander Glomb was involved in hundreds of narcotics and gang investigations. Commander Glomb was awarded Detective of the Year for the Addison Police Department in 2015 and 2016, respectively. In 2016, Commander Glomb received the Gang Officer of the Year award from the Midwest Gang Investigators Association, Illinois Chapter.

In 2017, Commander Glomb was assigned as a General Detective. During that time, he conducted hundreds of investigations related to violent crimes, property crimes, narcotics and gang crimes.

Commander Glomb was a Class Supervisor for Class BA18-04 at the Suburban Law Enforcement Academy (SLEA).

Commander Glomb was a previous member of the Felony Investigative Assistance Team (FIAT). In 2019, Commander Glomb was selected as a Major Crimes Supervisor for the DuPage Metropolitan Emergency Response and Investigations Team (MERIT).

On January 3, 2022, Commander Glomb was promoted to the rank of Sergeant within the Field Services Division until he was reassigned as Detective Sergeant in March of 2023. In 2024, he was promoted to Commander in the Field Services Division.

Commander Glomb has received numerous awards and commendations during his time with the Addison Police Department and the DuPage County Metropolitan Enforcement Group.
